Symposium Education Project

Travel Dates: July 10 - August 15, 2015

Symposium is a non-profit educational project that is dedicated to bringing humanities seminars to high school and college students in East Asia.

Founded by Columbia students in 2013, Symposium is based on Literature Humanities, one of the central pillars of the Core Curriculum of Columbia University. The Symposium project aims to introduce Western classical texts to students in East Asia, and cultivate critical thinking skills in an interactive seminar context.

Symposium also serves as a platform for thought exchange between Eastern and Western humanities tradition and culture between students studying at Columbia and in Asia.
