Amari Gaiter has dedicated her years at Columbia to advocating for marginalized students and community members. Through ROOTED and Under1Roof, she worked alongside her peers to create spaces for learning about social identity, structural oppression, power and privilege, mental health and more. She is forever grateful for her mentors as well as the meaningful relationships she cultivated through this work. She looks forward to continuing her advocacy for social justice post-graduation through her mutual aid work with Farm2Power and beyond.
