Under1Roof 2014: Student Facilitator Application

Under1Roof Student Facilitator Applications -- Spring 2014

***PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED*** (POSTED 2/28/2014, 5:09PM)

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is looking for dynamic student facilitators to help lead Under1Roof dialogues for incoming, first year students during the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP).

Under1Roof is a dialogue-based program that explores how we individually and collectively create an inclusive community at Columbia University. It provides the framework on how intergroup understanding, community building, and social responsibility are achieved through continual engagement and education about the different social identities we all bring to campus. It aims to begin a sustained dialogue that will last throughout students’ time at Columbia and beyond.

More information about Under1Roof can be found on the program's website.

Short Responses
Please briefly answer these questions.
In Under1Roof, first year students discuss identity, diversity, and social responsibility. Think about a short reading or video clip that you would want all first year students to cover as a part of this program that speaks to one or more of these areas. It can be a scholarly essay, popular article, video clip, or any other media piece.
