The Dean of Student Affairs
Office is the Central unit of the Division of
Student Affairs. The Dean’s Office, which is located in
405 Lerner Hall houses all of the staff responsible
for supporting all the individual units of Student
Affairs. This staff includes the Associate Dean
of Student Affairs/Student and Alumni Participation,
Kathryn Wittner, the Assistant Dean of Student
Affairs/Research and Planning, David Cheng,
Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Office / Administration & Planning,
Eleanor Daugherty, and the Executive Director of Administrative Planning and Financial Management,
Elizabeth Girgis. Each of these
individuals works with Dean Colombo to manage
the overall, day to day operations of the Division
of Student Affairs. Examples of initiatives
from the Dean of Student Affairs Office are
large-scale events like
Class Day or Family Weekend, or, surveys such
as the Enrolled Student
Survey.
Advising and Academic
Resources
Advising and Academic Resources is comprised
of:
Together they combine to form a complimentary,
multi-functional unit that serves to enhance
student experience both in and out of the classroom.
The
Advising Centers serve as the primary
source for general academic advising in Columbia
College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering
and Applied Science.
Multicultural Affairs Office

The Multicultural Affairs Office is comprised of:
Responding to the needs of our diverse undergraduate
student body, Columbia College and The Fu Foundation
School of Engineering and Applied Science Office
of Multicultural Affairs aims to promote an
inclusive University climate by raising awareness
of and appreciation for multicultural similarities
and differences.

Development and Activities and Residential Programs

SDA and Residential Life is comprised of:
Student Development and Activities
(SDA), works to enhance the educational
experience of CC and SEAS students by fostering
a dynamic and enriching University community,
supporting responsible student governance and
co-curricular activities, and assisting students
in their development as individuals, community
members and leaders. If students want to enhance
their leadership skills or learn or to become
involved in campus clubs and organizations,
SDA is where students should start.
Residential Programs provides learning opportunities
that support the academic mission to students
living in the residence halls, brownstones and
IRC.

The Office of Undergraduate
Financial Aid and Educational Financing
is committed to supporting students in pursuit
of their educational goals by providing high
quality counseling and services and collaborates
with other offices within the division of Student
Affairs to promote integrated support services
for students with regard to financing their
education.
