President Lee C. Bollinger
Currently serves as Columbia’s 19th President
Columbia doesn‘t teach you how to be a writer, it doesn‘t teach you how to be, in my case, an actor. What it can do is unlock something. And that is what an education is for. It’s to release something inside of you. And to make you understand, or allow you to understand, you can do pretty much anything you can imagine.

Alumni Volunteers (ARC)

The Alumni Representative Committee is the corps of alumni that support the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in reaching out to all parts of the country and the world. As interviewers they help evaluate applicants, while also serving as ambassadors of Columbia describing the dynamism of their experience. In this section you will find some basic ARC resources and a general introduction to the ARC. Log-in to ARC Online to find out about becoming an alumni interviewer. Within ARC Online you will also find the complete ARC handbook.
