HOUSING & DINING
An urban, residential campus like no other in America. Nearly all undergraduates – including 99 percent of all first-year students – live on campus in university residence halls. Thousands of the brightest, most interesting and most motivated young people from across the country and around the world living and learning together in one community. Nearly two dozen residence halls, on 1 campus, in 1 neighborhood.

Dining
Dining options on campus are numerous. There are four meal plan options available to first year students in residence. Each plan includes a combination of "meals" and "Dining Dollars". Meals are "all you care to eat" and are served in John Jay Dining Hall for breakfast, brunch, and dinner Monday through Sunday. "Dining Dollars" is a tax-free, dollar-for-dollar debit account accessed through the Columbia University ID that allows students to make a la carte food and beverage purchases at 14 locations on campus. Kosher meal plans are available at John Jay Dining Hall or through Barnard College, located just across Broadway from the center of Columbia's campus.
