Becoming a Tutor

The CC/SEAS Tutoring Service is continually seeking qualified and motivated sophomores, juniors and seniors - as well as Columbia University graduate students - to serve as peer tutors. The position is paid and offers flexible hours based on the tutor's schedule. Tutors must have over a 2.5 GPA and a B or better in the course(s) to be tutored. Prospective candidates should complete an application and submit it to the Academic Success Programs (ASP) office in 103 Furnald Hall. A personal interview and two academic references (at least one from a professor, and the second from another faculty member or a class dean or advisor) are required.
