Compete for cash prizes!
The annual Columbia College speech contest for the George William Curtis Prize in Oration will be held this year on
Wednesday, May 4, 2011
1:00-3:00 p.m.
602 Hamilton Hall
Open to Columbia College students, the contest offers cash prizes to the winner in each of the two categories:
- Informative (4-6 minutes)
- Persuasive (5-7 minutes).
Registration starts at 12 Noon on Thursday, 21st April. To enter the competition and receive competition guidelines, email Hazel May, Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the following information:
- your name
- your CU email address
- your cell #
- the speech category in which you wish to compete.
The contest is limited to ten entrants in each category, but an unlimited waitlist will be maintained.
