AMSA Event: "Should I be Premed?" (10/18)

CUAMSA Pre-med Crash Course Series: Advice to help you determine 'Should I Be Pre-med?'

Monday, October 18
8:00 p.m.
Broadway Room (2nd fl. Lerner Hall)

Join CUAMSA board member for the second event in CUAMSA's Pre-med Crash Course Series. For all crash course events, pre-med upperclassmen will be offering honest advice about the pre-med path in an informal setting. Monday's event aims to answer the frequently asked question, "Should I Be Pre-med?" CUAMSA Board members obviously can't answer the question for you, but can provide you with information that may help you make your decision. Board members can tell you how they have navigated the pre-med path and personalized it for themselves.

Possible topics are how to manage a non-science major or a science major, how to approach research even if you don't think you're interested in research, what extracurricular activities are helping in solidifying the interest to pursue medicine, how much doubt people had about the pre-med path and why they ultimately decided yes. Free food (pita, hummus, carrots) will be provided. Email mal2158@columbia.edu if you have any questions.
