Ensuring quality health insurance is a key part of attending Columbia.  Columbia College and Columbia Engineering wants to confirm you have good coverage so that health needs and concerns, including unanticipated health care costs, are not a barrier to the achievement of your personal and academic goals.  Here are a few key reasons to enroll in the Columbia Student Health Insurance Plan:

All CC and SEAS students must take University Writing in their first year at Columbia. Half of the Class of 2018 takes University Writing in the fall, and the other half takes it in the spring.

The Journal of International Affairs is seeking student submissions for its semiannual Cordier Essay Contest. The author of the winning article will receive $500 along with publication alongside noted scholars in the Journal’sforthcoming issue on Uprisings, Protests, and Revolutions. Published by Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, the Journal of International Affairs is one of the oldest and most respected foreign affairs periodicals.

Please remember to check your email for the Center for Student Advising 2014 survey. You will have the opportunity to help us enhance your advising experience by providing important feedback. The survey will only take about 7 minutes to fill out and you will be entered into a lottery for three prizes: two Broadway show tickets, lunch with Dean James Valentini, or a Beats “The Pill” wireless speaker system.
