Student Advising

Attention SEAS Students in IEOR, APMA, APPH or COMS!

Do you have  some proficiency in French and a desire to participate in an exceptional educational opportunity leading  to a joint BS-Master’s degree from Columbia Engineering and the Ecole Polytechnique in France?

Please read on!

Columbia Engineering’s  joint degree program with Ecole Polytechnique is open to students in the departments above, with a strong GPA , proficiency in French, and  a desire to spend one’s senior year, and the following year, on the campus of Ecole Polytechnique just outside of Paris. Acceptance into this program is predicated on completion of all required non-technical courses prior to departure, as well as overall clearance from the Center for Student Advising with regards to general degree progress.

The BS/MS Program primarily targets students interested in developing their intellectual and professional capabilities with a cross-cultural perspective. It also caters to students pursuing academic and research-oriented careers. This dual degree program offers unique access to employment opportunities in France and Europe, connects students with two global alumni networks, and gives them transatlantic insight into the field of engineering and applied science.

If you are interested and would like to find out more, please email Dean Leora Brovman at lb2258@columbia.edu for more information and to schedule an appointment.
