This workshop, given by Dr. Don Martin, will cover:
- Major myths about graduate school
- Major mistakes prospective graduate students make
- How to find the right program
- The application process and ways to get positively noticed
- Tips for funding your Graduate Education
Speaker Bio: Dr. Don Martin spent 29 years working in graduate enrollment and student services. Employers included Columbia (Teachers College), The University of Chicago (Booth School of Business) and Northwestern (Medill School of Journalism). He has worked with thousands of prospective and current graduate students in the U.S. and abroad. His book, Road Map for Graduate Study: A Guide for Prospective Students, was released in 2008. A supplement for international students was released in 2009. Dr. Martin holds a Master's Degree in Communications from Wheaton College (IL) and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Northwestern.
