Get ready for Media Networking Night and the Startup Career Fair!
We hope you're taking some time this week to relax and re-energize after midterms...because next week we're jumping right back into a full schedule of events and programs. Whether your dream is to work in the media or startup fields or you just want to explore career options, be sure to check out these upcoming events:
- 3/21, Media Networking Night : Mingle with over 300 networkers including representatives from CBS News, Chanel, Google, the NFL, Sirius XM Radio, and Tribeca Film. Get ready by attending a preparation workshop on March 19.
- 3/23, Startup Career Fair : Employers attending include AppNexus, Birchbox, Boxee, Inc., GigaOM, GroupMe, Palantir Technologies, Sailthru Inc., SiteCompli, Tremor Video, Voxy, Wrapp Inc., Yodle, and more. Register by 11:59pm on March 21 to receive a Pre-Registered Pass. Prepare for the career fair by connecting with alums and other professionals through Twitter on March 20 and attending Making the Most of the Career Fair on March 22.
Want to Connect with Alumni as a Science, Technology or Engineering Student?
If you are in a STEM-related major and found your own internship, join the STEP to be paired with an alumni mentor during a summer internship. If you don’t have a summer internship yet, don’t fret! Instead, keyword search “CCESTEP” on LionSHARE and view all of the current STEP positions.

Whether you have secured an unpaid summer service/non-profit internship in NYC, you are interested in proposing a summer project to benefit Community Impact, or you are interested in working with Professor Roosevelt Montas to develop a service learning component for his class, the Van Amson Service Fellowship is right for you!
Columbia College Alumni and Parent Internship Fund 2012
Apply to fund your unpaid summer internship! Currently registered Columbia College rising juniors and seniors, in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA, who receive Columbia grant-based financial aid and have secured an unpaid internship for summer 2012 are eligible to apply. Applications are due on April 18, 2012.
