The Rhodes Scholarship When: Monday, September 14, 3:00 pm Where: The Core Conference Room (202 Hamilton Hall) Who: Jisung Park, Rhodes winner 2009, CC ‘09 Learn about the oldest international fellowship directly from Jisung Park –Columbia College’s very own 2009 Rhodes Scholars – before he heads over to Oxford to begin his studies. He will provide insights into the application process as well as share his strategies for putting together the best application possible. The George Mitchell Scholarship When: Wednesday, September 16th, 3:30 pm Where: The Core Conference Room (202 Hamilton Hall) Who: Jennie LaMonte, Managing Director Planning on pursuing graduate studies in an institution of higher learning in Ireland or Northern Ireland? The Mitchell Scholarship is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to public service and community. The Fulbright Scholarship When: Thursday, September 17, 3:30 pm Where: The Core Conference Room (202 Hamilton Hall) Who: Tony Claudino, Director of Fulbright Student Program Outreach, IIE Established in 1946, the Fulbright program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills. The Gates-Cambridge Trust When: Friday, September 25, 12:30 pm Where: The Core Conference Room (202 Hamilton Hall) Who: Anna King, Winner 2002, PhD Criminology The Gates Cambridge Trust supports an international scholarship program for outstanding students from outside the United Kingdom who gain admission to the University of Cambridge to pursue graduate study or a second bachelor's degree. The Winston Churchill Scholarship When: Monday, September 28, 2009, 3:30 pm Where: The Core Conference Room (202 Hamilton Hall) Who: Peter Patrikis, Executive Director Are you a Math or Science student, interested in pursuing a degree post graduation at Cambridge? This one year award is available to students pursuing degrees in the sciences, engineering or mathematics.
