Columbia Innovators: Your Tahoe Summer Awaits
Calling all students who dare to imagine themselves starting their own companies, solving major social problems, and transforming any work environment they join. I'm writing you with an innovative -- and brand spanking new -- opportunity: Middlebury's MiddCORE, a four-week intensive immersion program centered on innovation and entrepreneurship that will prepare you to be a standout leader and innovator of our generation. MiddCORE is an intellectual obstacle course that will challenge, excite, and change you for the better. Over four weeks, you will spend over 160 hours completing workshops led by over 45 mentors, all outstanding in their fields. You will meet and be molded by governors, CIA officers, artists, lawyers, doctors, journalists, consultants, philanthropists, CEOs, CFOs and so many others. They will develop skills like negotiation, public speaking, crisis management, collaboration, self-reflection, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, financial literacy and design.
Originally a winter term course exclusively for Middlebury students, MiddCORE will accept applications for the first time ever from undergraduates and recent alumni from all over the country for summer of 2013. The course will take place at Sierra Nevada College on Lake Tahoe from June 17-July 13. If you're interested in learning more, check out our website (http://middcore.middlebury.edu/) or contact Astrid Schanz-Garbassi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Astrid will be on campus Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31 to interview prospective applicants. To arrange an interview you can contact her directly. Thank you.
