Columbia University in China- Beijing and Shanghai Information Session • Summer intensive language programs that offer Chinese language study for both undergraduate and graduate students. • Business Chinese and internship focus for the Shanghai summer program. • Fall, spring, and academic year program that allows advanced Chinese speakers to directly enroll in a broad range of Tsinghua University courses, ranging from Economics to Environmental Science to Engineering to Architecture to Film, with the support of an onsite director and program tutors. Berlin Consortium for German Studies Information Session www.bcgs.columbia.edu Designed to prepare advanced language students to enroll in the Freie Universität Berlin for the academic year or spring semester with the support of a structured program. NEW PROGRAM: Contemporary French Theater and Performance Information Session http://ogp.columbia.edu/?go=ParisTheater For students from the School of the Arts or with the appropriate theater background. Visit a range of public theatres and art centers, analyze theatre and dance productions by leading French and international artists, and consider these performances in their historical, aesthetic, and professional contexts. Meet with directors, administrators, and artistic directors to learn about cultural production in France and the European subsidy model it exemplifies. Date: February 3 Time: 6 pm—7:00 pm Place: 603 Dodge
NEW PROGRAM: Columbia University Summer Arabic Program in Amman Information Session http://ogp.columbia.edu/?go=AmmanSummer A nine week summer program that offers intensive Arabic language training to undergraduate and graduate students. Earn one year of credit in one summer. Opportunities for students to work with local communities on particular projects and possible placements in arts internships for appropriate students. Date: February 5 Time: 12-1 Place: 207 Knox
Columbia-Penn Program in Paris at Reid Hall Information Session • A structured fall, spring, or academic year program for advanced French students that provides the academic support and tools necessary to take courses at French universities. Live with French families or on your own. • A summer program allows students to choose from a range of courses at the intermediate and advanced levels in French language, literature, art history, and French studies.
