Creative Writing Major Application Deadline: 5:00 pm, Mon, Feb 24
To all the Undeclared:
Students who would like to be considered for the Creative Writing major MUST submit an application to the Creative Writing Department in 617 Kent Hall no later than 5pm, Monday, February 24th.
An application consists of (1) a cover sheet and (2) a writing sample.
(1) The cover sheet, which requires you to declare a proposed concentration (fiction, nonfiction, or poetry) is available in the undergraduate creative writing office in 617 Kent.
Fill it out, and affix it to your writing sample.
(2) The writing sample consists of 15 to 20 pages of double-spaced prose fiction and 10 to 20 non-fiction, (it can be several pieces that add up to the page requirement) or 10 poems (also not to exceed 25 pages).
Again, applications must be delivered to Kent 617 no later than Monday, February 24th, at 5pm.
Late applications or applications sent by email will not be considered.
We will notify you during the week of March 3rd to let you know whether or not your application has been approved or not approved.
