What does interning through one of these programs offer me that I can’t get elsewhere? Program benefits include becoming part of a community dedicated to your professional and personal development. You’ll take part in pre-departure trainings, social and networking events, and post-program reflections. You’ll cultivate relationships with Columbia alumni around the world, all the while building transferable skills that you can carry with you to your next opportunity. Additionally, international internships include housing, visa coordination support, and may include financial support. You make a good case. How do I apply? Application materials must be submitted through LionSHARE, and include a resume, cover letter, and transcript. You can apply to up to 6 summer opportunities (no more than 2 in each city) through Columbia Overseas Experience (CEO) and Columbia University Internship (CU IN). All current sophomores and juniors at Columbia College, General Studies, and from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences are eligible to apply. When are the deadlines? CEO London and Hong Kong: January 24 CEO Beijing, Shanghai, and Singapore: January 31 CU In: California: February 7 Why can’t I see the positions in LionSHARE, even though I’m eligible for the program? Positions are posted in the On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) section. If you do not yet have access to OCR, you must complete the Policies and Procedures form. It may take up to 48 hours to receive access, and you must have a resume uploaded into the system to be able to apply to a position via the “Apply now” link. Guess it’s time to update my resume. If you’d like help on your resume, conducting industry research, or brushing up on your interview skills, you can visit us at CCE for a walk-in appointment Monday–Friday from 1-4PM, or you can call us at (212) 854-5609. I’m ready to go from suitcase to briefcase! Thanks, CCE! For more details on where a summer with CCE can take you, log in to LionSHARE . Under On-Campus Recruiting, search by schedule IDs. Below, you’ll find a sample of the opportunities currently listed.
