Happy new year and welcome to campus! We have an exciting spring semester for you, with career fairs, mock interview nights, employer site visits, and so much more. In the next two weeks, you can go to information sessions about our summer internship programs, stop by a Power Half Hour on a career topic like interviewing, or attend the Fashion Industry Showcase, where you can connect with employers for internships and jobs. Not sure where to start?
How will you be spending your Winter Break?
Benjie Frieling, SEAS '14
The Earth Institute, Columbia University, allocates funding to support travel for current Columbia University students who are engaged in research projects dealing with issues of sustainable development and the environment. The Earth Institute’s travel grant program provides students with the opportunity to build on their academic work for their degree programs and apply their knowledge to real-world situations by traveling overseas to conduct original fieldwork research.
Best of luck to you with your study and exams!
This is our last email until classes begin again in January so we wish you a wonderful winter break too! Many of you plan to focus on your internship and job searches as you bask in the comforts of home so check out these tips and connect with us in person, via phone or skype.
