Summer Research Program for Students of Diversity
Biostatistics Enrichment Summer Training (BEST) Diversity Program at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health is a rigorous eight-week program that is focused on expanding and diversifying the behavioral and biomedical sciences’ workforce by introducing undergraduates from underrepresented populations to biostatistics and cardiovascular and pulmonary disease research.
BEST is currently recruiting students for our 2013 program (May 28-July 19) and have extended the application deadline.
Qualified applicants must:
- Be enrolled and have completed at least one year of undergraduate work at an accredited school or university OR be enrolled at a community or junior college, completing at least 3 courses per academic term.
- Have completed at least 1 semester of college calculus
- Be U.S. citizens or have permanent residence status
