Trilling/Van Doren Reception (5/3)

The Academic Awards Committee of Columbia College cordially invites you to join us in honoring the recipients of the Annual Mark Van Doren Teaching Award and the Annual Lionel Trilling Book Award on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Faculty Room of Low Library.

This year Professor James S. Shapiro, Department of English and Comparative Literature, was the recipient of the 36th Annual Lionel Trilling Book Award for his book "Contested Will:  Who Wrote Shakespeare?."  Professor Holger A. Klein, Department of Art History and Archaeology, was the recipient of the 50th Annual Mark Van Doren Teaching Award for his commitment to undergraduate instruction and for “humanity, devotion to truth, and inspiring leadership.”
