We are pleased to announce that the Mellon Foundation has recently renewed its support for the Leadership Alliance Mellon Initiative (LAMI), a summer research program for undergraduate students in the humanities and social sciences. LAMI offers closely mentored research opportunities with faculty at the University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, University of South Florida, Washington University in St. Louis, New York University, Brown, Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Tufts and Yale Universities.

Peer Adviser Post: Thanksgiving Break

American Thanksgiving will be here soon, along with a much-needed break from academics. There are many different ways that Columbia students spend the holiday, and there’s no single “right way” to do Thanksgiving break. The most important thing is to return to school relaxed and rejuvenated so you can end your semester on a high note.

Eligibility for this fellowships requires you to be EITHER an NIH defined minority OR low-income OR from a rural area. Students must have completed their sophomore year by May 2015, must have a 3.0 grade point average and be a citizen or permanent resident of the US.
