Volunteer Opportunity Artists Reaching Out

Volunteers wanted!

One of Community Impact's youth programs, Artists Reaching Out (ARO) is looking for volunteer art teachers in music, dance, theater, visual art, and creative writing, to provide access to arts education in area elementary schools.

ARO is a Friday afternoon arts enrichment program that seeks to empower young students through arts education. Rather than simply relaying technical skills, ARO volunteers plan a classroom curriculum in which they use art as a means of inspiring creativity and building confidence. For volunteers, a desire to work with K - 5th grade students and enthusiasm for arts education are more important than comprehensive experience in the arts (though that experience is also very welcome!). The time commitment is 3-5pm or 1-2:40 on Friday afternoons.

If you are interested in volunteering or want additional information, please email artistsreachingout@gmail.com.
