This Week at CCE: April 16-20, 2012
Median salaries are up 4.5% for the class of 2012, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Whether or not you’re graduating this year, it’s important to start learning about typical salaries for your fields of interest. On interviews, you might even be asked what salary you expect. You want to be able to give a salary range that you are comfortable with, matches the standard rate for a particular position in a specific industry, and is adjusted for cost of living in that location. NACE has a salary calculator available on its website, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics compiles average nation-wide salaries based on census data.
