These information sessions are designed for Columbia College and School of General Studies students to learn about the requirements for submitting an approval request to the Institutional Review Board and is required for all CC students who will be conducting research with human subjects.

Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies

Come learn about study abroad opportunities in Kyoto during the academic year and summer. Talk to faculty, advisors, and returned students to figure out what is most appropriate for you.

The rigorous academic year or semester program is appropriate for students wishing to focus on Japanese language and cultural studies. Study with Japanese students and live with host families.

Academic Opportunity for CC Sophomores: Mellon-Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

This program provides research training, faculty mentorship and financial support for Columbia College (Sophomores) underrepresented minority students and other College students with a demonstrated commitment to racial diversity who wish to pursue a Ph.D. and whose intellectual and social commitments embody those of the late Dr. Benjamin Mays.

Google is invested in increasing the pipeline of future computer scientists and software developers, particularly those who are historically underrepresented in the field. Many aspiring computer scientists could benefit from a program that bridges the gap between academic study and a professional internship. Google wants to inspire these students to continue in the field with such a program.

Call for Applications: Columbia-LSE dual MA/MSc in International and World History

The Columbia-LSE dual MA/MSc program seeks talented applicants for its Fall 2012 entry. This unique two-year program offers students an opportunity to work with preeminent historians in New York and London and explore the transnational forces that have shaped and continue to remake our world: migration, trade, technology, religion, epidemics, the environment, diplomacy, intervention and war.
