The Community Outreach group creates programs, publications, and collaborative initiatives that enhance our knowledge base, deepen our partnerships, and foster a transparent, informed, and seamless advising experience for our students.

Working collaboratively with other departments in the Division of Student Affairs, students, and offices across the university, we hold Summer Advising Sessions for incoming first-year and transfer students, help to organize the New Student Orientation Program, and host class-year programs for students through all four years of study. We create publications that explain how advising works at Columbia, give information on our special programs and services, and introduce incoming first year and transfer students to the academic requirements for a Columbia degree.
