Welcome to Columbia, Class of 2016!
The Center for Student Advising offers a number of online resources to help you plan your Columbia academic program. Since the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is just around the corner, we want to encourage you to think about your courses and plan of study before you arrive on campus.
You should read through the Academic Planning Guide for New Students and fill out the CC or SEAS tear-out sheet. You are expected to bring that sheet with you for your initial advising appointment with your academic adviser during NSOP.
You will receive an email from the Center for Student Advising in August with the name and contact information of your academic adviser. Shortly thereafter, your adviser will email you to introduce him/herself. During NSOP, you will meet with your adviser in person, before you register for classes.
If you require technical assistance with either the chats or the videos, or if you have questions regarding the above-mentioned on-line resources, please send an e-mail to the Center for Student Advising.
We look forward to welcoming you to campus at the end of August!
