Research and Planning
The Assistant Dean for Research and Planning
works collaboratively with all the units of the
Division of Student Affairs and with other offices
of the University administration on a wide range
of issues. The Assistant Dean not only helps the
Dean identify areas in need of research but also
designs, conducts, and reports on research findings,
and presents the results of these studies to senior
management for use in strategic planning and policy
development. The Assistant Dean advises senior
management in the assessment and evaluation of
programs and services through student feedback
in the form of surveys and focus groups. The Assistant
Dean also advises and assists various units in
responding to internal and external data requests.
