CC/SEAS Undergraduate Checklist

  

I have applied for a May degree.
If not, go to the Registrar’s Office (205 Kent), as this may delay the conferral of the degree.

 

I have reviewed my permanent and local addresses with the Registrar to be sure they are accurate. If not, I will review and correct the information, since this may delay graduation information from reaching me and my parent/guardian.

  

I have checked my Degree Audit Report (D.A.R.) for accuracy.

  

I have checked that all of my grades and/or incomplete grades from previous semesters are posted accurately.

  

I have checked in with the Center for Student Advising to ensure that my core requirements are complete (including the swim test for CC students only).

  

I have checked in with my departmental advisor and confirmed that all of my major and/or concentration requirements are complete or are being completed.

  

As a CC student, I am on track to graduate with 124 credits.

  

As a CC senior, I have registered for the Columbia College E-Community

  

As a SEAS student, I am on track to graduate with 128 credits.

  

As a SEAS senior, I have registered for the SEAS E-Community

  

My cumulative grade point average is at least 2.0 or better.

  

I have paid the balances on all of my accounts (including the library).

  

If I receive financial aid, I have completed my exit interview.

  

I have confirmed that my major/concentration/minor declaration is correct.

  

Pick up cap & gown from the Columbia Bookstore. No pre-ordering necessary. You will receive e-mail notification when regalia is available.

  

I have picked up my Commencement tickets.

  

I have set a place to meet my family following Class Day and University Commencement.

  

I have received my diploma!!!!!!

  

I have checked out of the residence halls by the stated check-out date and time.

  

I have signed up to receive my free one year Columbia Alumni Arts League membership. (www.cuarts.com/membership/classof2008)

SEAS Graduate Checklist

  

I have applied for a May degree.
If not, go to the Registrar’s Office (205 Kent), as this may delay the conferral of the degree.

 

I have reviewed my permanent and local addresses with the Registrar to be sure they are accurate. If not, I will review and correct the information, since this may delay graduation information from reaching me and my parent/guardian.

  

I have checked that all of my grades and/or incomplete grades from previous semesters are posted accurately and that I have letter grades for all courses being counted.

  

I have checked in with my department to ensure that my requirements are complete or are being completed.

  

As a SEAS Masters degree student, I am on track to graduate with at least 30 credits.

  

As a SEAS Professional degree student, I am on track to graduate with at least 30 credits beyond my Masters degree.

  

If I entered SEAS in the Fall of 2002 or after and was required to submit my TOEFL scores, I have attained a Level 8 on the English Proficiency examination administered by the American Language Program and provided these scores to the Office of Graduate Student Services.

  

My cumulative grade point average is at least 2.5 or better.

I have submitted my Graduate Questionnaire and picked up my Commencement tickets (Students will receive an email when tickets are available). Students must complete the SEAS Exit Survey to obtain tickets. Survey will be emailed to your Columbia email in late March.
