Introduction
Dean’s Discipline is a means of investigating and responding to complaints made about Columbia College or The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science undergraduate students. Dean’s Discipline is initiated when there has been an allegation that a student has violated Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, or University policies either on- or off-campus. It is expected that all students will act in an honest way and respect the rights of others at all times.
It is important to note that the Dean’s Discipline process is not utilized in cases where a student is alleged to have engaged in sexual misconduct. The Office for Disciplinary Procedure for Sexual Assault is responsible for hearing all cases regarding sexual misconduct.
The Dean's Discipline process is divided into five main sections. Please visit corresponding pages to learn more about each of them.
I. Violations
II. Procedures
III. Sanctions
