Change of Major/Concentration

• Pick up a Columbia College Major/Concentration Declaration form and complete Section II: Change of Major or Concentration.

• Obtain departmental approval (if required).
  * Please note: departments that require approval are listed on the form.

• Submit the form to the Junior Senior Advising Center.

Change of Major

If you are considering changing your major, you must speak with your departmental advisor and a class dean in the Junior Senior Advising Center with the understanding that the change may not be possible because of the requirements for each SEAS major. In the senior year, it is generally not possible to change your major and complete your degree in eight terms.

Change of Minor

You are permitted to change your minor; however, you may not remain at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science for more than 8 terms in order to complete a minor.

• Pick up a Major/Minor Declaration form and indicate in the Minor section what change is to be made (addition, deletion).

• Submit the form to the Junior Senior Advising Center.
