The Pass/Fail Option

Columbia College

Columbia College students may elect to take one course per term on a Pass/Fail basis. This option is in addition to any courses that are given only on a Pass/Fail basis, such as Physical Education courses. The Pass/Fail option may not be exercised for courses used to satisfy Core or major/concentration requirements (including related courses) or courses taken during the summer. You will earn points for courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis, but such courses will not factor in to the calculation of your grade point average.

The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science

For students of the The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Pass/Fail option is available only for non-technical courses and may be exercised only after completion of the 27-point non-technical course requirement. You will not earn points for courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis; points will be removed after completion of the course.
