The Emerging Leaders Program
Are you interested in getting involved on campus? Would you like to discover your leadership ability? Would you like to develop your leadership skills? The Emerging Leaders Program is a leadership development opportunity for first and second year students which will help you develop your leadership potential and contribute positively to the Columbia community.
The Emerging Leaders Program is a semester long experience made up of four distinct components.
Leadership Frameworks- An understanding of general leadership models and theories and their application to your college experience.
Who Am I? - An assessment of your personal leadership style, skill level, experiences and development of your personal leadership mission.
Getting There - The tools and information needed to get started and create your own long-term action plan.
Leadership Labs - A unique leadership experience where you will work with a team of students and an adviser to develop, coordinate, and launch a project of your choosing within the Columbia community.
After successfully completing the program, you will be given the opportunity to become an integral part of LEAD by acting as a mentor to future participants of the program and/or by helping to coordinate future sessions.
