"The charge of the committee is to:  

1. Discuss issues pertinent to LGBTQ students so that OMA and the assistant director (LGBT Programming & Advisement) can advocate effectively;
2. Advocate on the behalf of the OMA assistant director's regarding resources and services for students;
3. Create interdepartmental connections and a sharing of resources;
4. Share issues of concern for LGBTQ employees.    

Membership consists of students, staff and faculty with an interest in LGBTQ campus issues, have a history of providing services to LGBTQ students, teach courses related to queer theory and sexualities or who have responsibilities that directly affect LGBTQ students and employees. Specifically, there is representation from each LGBTQ student organization as well as at-large student membership.
