The aim of this weekend is to build community amongst residents who will be living in the IRC Residential Communities, to equip them with leadership tools and skills that will allow them to be more effective in implementing their programs on campus, and to create a strategic plan for the year that will ensure successful programming that is reflective of the mission and goals of the IRC.

During the course of the weekend, residents will participate in various team building activities. These activities will help residents establish meaningful relationships with each other, build the foundation necessary for a healthy and functional community, create community norms and guidelines, and learn about the individual needs and experiences of each member of the community. Finally, residents will participate in anti-oppression training and education so that they better understand core social justice issues and can effectively support the mission of the IRC.
