The Stanford Summer Research Program/Amgen Scholars Program is a residential internship program which provides hands-on laboratory experience for undergraduates who would contribute to diversity in graduate study in the biological and biomedical sciences. This program is designed for students who would like to prepare for and enter PhD programs in these fields. The program combines a rigorous research experience with comprehensive mentoring and advising. Stanford will provide students with summer housing, meals, and travel to and from the summer research program. Additionally, all SSRP participants will receive a $3200 stipend.

Eligibility: 
Eligible candidates are US citizens or permanent residents enrolled at undergraduate institutions why by reason of their culture, class, race, ethnicity, background, work and life experiences, skills and interests, would bring diversity to graduate study in the biological and biomedical sciences. The program especially encourages applications from Black/African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders.
