The Institute for Genomic Research is a not-for-profit research institute with interests in structural, functional and comparative analysis of genomes and gene products. The summer fellowship program provides an environment the enables hands-on science training in methods in molecular biology, informatics and DNA sequencing. Each fellow will be assigned a mentor who is a member of the Institute’s faculty. The mentor will have responsibility for training the fellow and assigning, supervising and reviewing the fellow’s work Undergraduate fellows will receive between $815-$925 stipend bi-weekly.

Eligibility: 
All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Students must have completed course work in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or Computer Science, or have an equivalent background. A “B” average both overall and in science courses is required.
