Award Recognition

Indelible Mark
Leonard A. Pullman Memorial Prize
Cecilia is recognized for the indelible mark she has left on Columbia, particularly within the AAPI community. As president of Columbia’s Chinese Students Club (CSC) at the height of the pandemic, Cecilia led CSC with a clear vision during an uncertain time. In addition to spearheading initiatives to address anti-AAPI hate, she oversaw the development of six new virtual events that united students by their shared interests in Asian cultures. Her mission to sustain inclusive campus spaces extended to her role as head coordinator for Asian Youth Program (AYP). Cecilia was dedicated to making AYP an engaging environment where student mentors bonded with youths impacted by domestic violence. Her hopes for improving the experiences of future students further crystallized in her blog posts as a Columbia College Rose Research Ambassador. Her contributions frequently revolved around open-mindedness and self-reflection. Cecilia is also the recipient of the Leonard A. Pullman Memorial Prize.
Thank you to my family, friends, and mentors that have been with me every step of my Columbia journey and ad infinitum. I am beyond humbled to receive these recognitions, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve and improve the Columbia community. Congratulations to the other awardees!
