Hands-on laboratory research with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, advanced graduate students. Seminars on scientific, technological endeavors are provided Participants receive a weekly stipend, roundtrip travel expenses and housing.

Eligibility: 
U.S. citizen or permanent resident: African American, Mexican American, Native American or Puerto Rican students encouraged to apply. Must have completed sophomore year or show exceptional promise as scientists in the freshman year. Students should have 3.0 gpa or better and have an interest in research and teaching as a career. Students will receive a weekly stipend.
