COLUMBIA 101

One of the best ways to prep for your move to campus and the transition ahead is for you and your family to join us at one of the COLUMBIA 101 events, our summer advising and information sessions that take place in June and July in a number of major cities.

These sessions, brought to you by the Center for Student Advising, Parent and Family Programs, and International Student Programs and Services, are a great opportunity to meet other Columbia students and families, get information, and learn what it’s really like to be a student at Columbia.

We’ll have the right people -- including current students and advising deans from the Center for Student Advising -- on hand to answer your questions about what to expect during the first weeks at Columbia. You will learn about campus life, academic advising, and the many support services available for students.

You will also participate in an exciting tradition where alumni will present you with a gift, a copy of the book chosen for your school for summer reading.
