Visiting Student Orientation Leader 2014
Visiting Student Orientation Leaders (OLs) are necessary for the smooth transition of visiting students into the Columbia community. OLs assist with everything from move-in to Broadway show outings. They may be assigned to staff events, tours, trips, or lectures. OLs also directly interact with new students through assigned groups. OLs are responsible for communicating and meeting with visiting students about Orientation events and offering advice and encouragement during their transition to Columbia. It is essential that OLs project a positive and excited attitude towards Columbia University and the New Student Orientation experience.
Orientation Leaders are expected to:
- Always maintain a positive attitude towards Columbia University and Visiting Student Orientation
- Respect and follow the directions of the Visiting Student Orientation Staff
- Move in by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014, and start training at 1:00 p.m.
Be available for the duration of training and Visiting Student Orientation, which concludes on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Schedules and assignments will not be available until training.
