Davis Projects for Peace 2016 Application

The Davis Projects for Peace is an initiative funded by Kathryn W. Davis for undergraduate students to design and implement their own grassroots projects to take place during the summer months. Individual students or groups of students are invited to submit innovative and engaging proposals for projects focused on conflict resolution and the breaking down of barriers to peace.

Interested applicants should prepare a two-page, well-written statement and one-page budget. Statements should include the following information:

  • Overall description of the project. Include information on who and where the project is focusing, what problem the project is adresssing, why the problem needs addressing, and how you plan to address the problem.
  • Expected outcomes.
  • Prospects for future impact.
  • Be sure to include the names of all students participating and dates of the project.

Proposals should include pre-approval of all parties and organizations involved in the project. The two-page proposal and one-page budget should be submitted as one PDF document electronically as outlined below. Note that student contact with the Davis UWC Scholars office is PROHIBITED.
