Parent and Family Programs communicates with families of students in a variety of ways and strives to keep family members up-to-date and informed throughout their student's time at Columbia.

To ensure you receive communication from Parent and Family Programs and Columbia University, your e-mail address must be updated in your student's SSOL (Student Services OnLine) account.  Ask your student to verify your e-mail address.  Your student must request any changes to your email address by e-mailing Parent and Family Programs.

Below, you will find messages that have been produced to keep you and your students abreast of the events and news on Columbia's campus.

2011 - 2012

  • Returning students may move-in on Saturday, September 3. Please visit Columbia Housing for detailed information on move-in. (posted: Wednesday, August 31, 2011)

  • New student move-in has been rescheduled to Monday, August 29 and Tuesday, August 30. No matter when students arrive, we will accomodate them and provide an adjusted orientation schedule. Please visit the Preparing For Your Arrival site for more information. (posted: Sunday, August 29, 2011)
