Interested in taking a gap year? Do you want more clinical experience before applying to medical school? The Kuchnir Dermatology Bridge Year Program is an excellent clinical experience perfect for those interested in pursuing an interactive, patient-oriented gap year for 14- or 26-months before medical school matriculation!

Students in the program learn about medicine by scribing for physicians, coordinating patient care, attending educational events, and receiving mentorship from practicing Dermatologists. This unique opportunity allows students to develop strong interpersonal skills with patients along with a solid foundation of the healthcare system, especially the intricacies of administrative work that go into achieving high-quality patient care. We are looking for highly energetic students passionate about patient care with an aspiration to become a well-rounded physician.

Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the life-long learning that is required once matriculating to medical school. The program offers positions in the Boston area along with a few opportunities out-of-state. Please note that the time commitment is from June – July depending on the desire to complete one or two gap years.
