• Born in Riverside, CA and raised in Keene, Texas
• B.S., Social Science, Southwestern Adventist College
• M.A., Counseling, Andrews University
• Studied voice at the University of Illinois; a nationally featured vocalist at, among other places, Carnegie Hall; self-taught guitarist
• Member of the Cuban Cultural Society of New York; enjoys discussing the music and history of his parents’ country
• Spends most of his free time in West Harlem, with his wife Annette, a psychologist at Columbia University, and his daughter, Ana Isabella
