Meet the Staff
The Office of Residential Programs
The Office of Residential Programs Professional Staff supervises
the 150 Resident Advisors (RAs) and Community Programming Assistants
(CPAs) and works closely with other offices to provide a continuous
web of support for students in the residence halls. They respond to
after hours medical and psychological emergencies and serve as liaisons
with Public Safety, Housing and Dining, Health Services, Counseling and
Psychological Services and other offices to provide intervention after
regular business hours. The staff works to develop and implement programs,
events, and study breaks to develop community in the residence halls. The
Associate Directors, along with the Graduate Assistant Staff, are representatives
of the Office of the Dean and live and work in the Residence Halls.
The Residential Programs staff is responsible for supporting
and educating the student community on the policies and procedures
of the University as outlined in numerous publications such
as FACETS,
the Columbia
College Bulletin and the Fu
Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS)
Bulletin, as well as the URH
publication, The Guide to Living.
