Live @ Lerner
Production Assistants

The mission of Live @ Lerner is to serve as the programmatic component of the Office of Student Development and Activities with a focus on making Alfred Lerner Hall the center of campus activity by making it a more welcoming environment and increasing student traffic through its programming. As an integral part of student life at Columbia University, Live @ Lerner will provide a variety of educational, cultural and entertainment-orientated events for the entire Columbia community in Alfred Lerner Hall and throughout campus, and where possible feature the many talents of faculty, staff and students.

Live @ Lerner logoLive @ Lerner is seeking smart, highly organized and motivated team players to help implement office programs as well as other cosponsored events.

Duties include setting up, running, and cleaning up events as necessary, and attending necessary production meetings. Additional hours can be gained through assisting with publicity and pre-production work.

Individuals should be skilled in or interested in one or more areas:

  • Publicity

  • Visual Arts

  • Cinematic Arts

  • Event Management

The program assistants will work on an hourly basis and will sign up to work events as their schedule permits. Work-study students are encouraged to apply, but is not a requirement for employment.

This position has potential to interact with a variety of University Departments, vendors and well-known entertainers.
