Graduation Clearance
In order to graduate, you must be "cleared" for
graduation. The clearance process entails a review of
your record to make sure you have met all requirements.
Graduation clearance occurs during the second half of
the spring term, after the deadline to drop classes
and change grade options, and continues up to the
day of graduation.
In reviewing your record, if a problem is found, you will
be notified via e-mail. Problems typically include (but
are not limited to) missing requirements, insufficient
points, duplicate courses, missing grades, and excess
P.E. credit. Unfortunately the notification process is
time consuming, thus some notifications may not be sent
until late in the term. If you can anticipate any problems
now, be proactive and let the Junior Senior Advising Center know.
At the Junior Senior Advising Center, we attempt to be proactive
as well, beginning with including a copy of your DAR in
the summer mailing if you had incomplete Core requirements.
If you receive a problem e-mail informing you of a
problem, don't panic! Come to the Junior Senior Advising
Center so we can talk about solutions as quickly as
possible.
