An epic documentary co-directed by Mathieu Roy and Harold Crooks, "Surviving Progress" challenges the modern notion of progress as technological, economic and population expansion. "Surviving Progress" presents the concept of "progress traps"--when there is too much progress, an excess of material wealth that inevitably leads to the depletion of natural resources and the exhaustion of physical human capacities.
