A celebration of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, proceeding in a sort of imaginative chronological order: starting with the two suites entitled "The Baby's Family," moving on to the "Children's Carnival" and a series of Brazilian children's folk songs transcribed for solo piano entitled "Practical Guide: A Folkloric Study," and finally ending with the very adult and stomping music of the "Savage Poem."
